The walk was completed last year and is part of Fáilte Ireland’s National Looped Walks Network.

The walk covers forest trails, lake shore and nature trails. Full details of the Hamilton Trail are available on the Cavan Tourism website.

The season concluded with a BBQ and prizes. The trophy for the heaviest fish caught during the season went to the owner of Spinners Tackle Shop in Killeshandra.

Pike Fishing Competition will be held on Eonish Lake on 30th May 2009. The competition has been organised by the Killeshandra Festival Committee as part of the annual Festival of the Lakes. All are welcome to participate.
