With plenty of good fishing, both lake and river, in Cavan’s Lakeland within easy reach and Lough Oughter literally at the bottom of the drive, it was ideal for our needs with excellent fishing right on the doorstep in case one of us wanted to lie in, the weather really turned bad or if there was a football match we wanted to watch…”

Eonish Lake is once again doing well for pike fishing. This photo shows a french angler with a 13lb pike caught from the shoreline of Eonish Lake before it was returned to the water. Boat anglers are also reporting good catches on the lake.
